Cabbage and Tuna Stir-Fry

This recipe is a low carb, gluten free take on a traditional classic. You will definitely enjoy it!


  • 1/2 Cabbage Head
  • Olive Oil
  • 1/2 White Onion
  • Fresh Thyme
  • Spring Onions
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Yellow Pepper
  • Green Pepper
  • 2 tins of Tuna
  • 1/2 cup of Sweet Corn
  • Ketchup
  • Salt and Black pepper to taste


  1. Pour two tablespoons of olive oil into a frying pan
  2. Cut up your vegetables into bite-sized pieces and add them to the oil in the frying pan one after the other:
    • Cabbage
    • Garlic
    • White and Spring Onions
    • Fresh Thyme
    • Carrot
    • Cherry Tomatoes
    • Green, Yellow and Green Pepper


  1. Place the frying pan on a medium heat. Sprinkle black pepper, a pinch of salt and mixed herbs for flavour. Do not cover the pan while frying.
  2. Sauté until the vegetables are crisp tender – about 10 minutes.
  3. Keep stirring while the vegetables cook. Do not cook the cabbage for too long to preserve the crunchiness.
  4. Once the cabbage becomes tender, add the sweet corn and continue to stir.
  5. Add the tuna after 3 minutes and continue frying.
  6. Pop a little bit of ketchup to add up the flavour and stir.
  7. Leave to cook for 5 more minutes and turn off the fire.
  8. Food is ready!
